There have been power outages in the region, and fires have broken out.

A series of explosions rocked Belgorod and the Belgorod Region in Russia on the night of July 7. Following the explosions, power and water supplies were cut off in parts of the city. Local authorities reported a missile strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, damage to infrastructure, and fires.

This was reported by ASTRA, the acting governor of the Belgorod Region Alexander Shuvaev, and Exilenova+.

According to Shuvaev, the attack damaged one of the facilities in Belgorod, as well as the region’s energy infrastructure.

“A fire broke out at one of the facilities in Belgorod; firefighters are working to extinguish it. Energy infrastructure has been damaged again, so some areas of Belgorod and several municipalities are experiencing disruptions in electricity and water supply,” he said.

Shuvaev later reported that one person was killed and three others were injured as a result of the attack.

According to monitoring channels, one of the targets was the Belgorod Linear Production Administration of Main Gas Pipelines (Belgorod LPAMGP), where a fire broke out after the strike.

The Belgorod Regional Gas Distribution Company is a subsidiary of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow LLC, which is part of PJSC Gazprom. The company operates main gas pipelines and supplies natural gas to consumers in the Belgorod Region.
