During the talks between Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia, American representatives “accepted our proposals.” The Ukrainian delegation proposed three first steps – and the US delegation accepted them.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his address to the country on the results of March 11. The Head of State referred to the report provided to him by our delegation on the meeting with the American team.
” Ukraine is ready for peace . Russia must show its readiness to stop the war or continue the war . The time has come for the full truth ,” the head of state noted.
Ukraine proposed three main points. These are ” silence in the sky ” – missiles, bombs, long-range drones, “silence at sea ” and ” confidence-building measures in the situation ” – the release of prisoners. The American “side understands our arguments and accepts our proposals,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy specified.
In turn, the American side proposed “taking the first step immediately” – establishing a complete ceasefire along the entire front line for 30 days.
“Not only regarding missiles, drones and bombs, and not only in the Black Sea, but also along the entire front line. Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take such a step,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.
Now, as Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified, the United States of America “must convince Russia to do this .”
“That is, we agree, and if the “Russians” agree, at that moment the silence will come into effect,” the Ukrainian president noted.
Moreover, during the negotiations, American military assistance to Ukraine was also discussed.
“America is ready to restore defense assistance to Ukraine, including intelligence assistance,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy added.
As OBOZ.UA reported, today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a high-level meeting of representatives of Ukraine and the United States started. The delegations are discussing a possible agreement to end the war with Russia, the development of bilateral relations and more. The day before, Washington expressed optimistic forecasts for this dialogue, while Kyiv also noted that they expect it to produce results in terms of both bringing peace closer and continuing support.
A meeting between representatives of the United States and Russia will also take place in Saudi Arabia . The specific list of participants has not yet been disclosed, but it is known that Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who met with representatives of Kyiv today, will be representing Washington.
This is no peace deal, but an important step, in particular the restoration of weapon deliveries and intelligence sharing.
However, this does not mean that Europe can breathe a sigh of relief … maybe a little. Trump’s administration is highly unpredictable, and every effort and every momentum to rearm the continent and especially Ukraine must continue unabated. Tomorrow, next week, or next month, things can be wholly different again.

It’s not hard to guess that the Ukrainians know exactly how the roaches will react to a ceasefire. I would go so far to say that Zelenskyy also doesn’t want a ceasefire but agreed to it anyway to show the orange conman about his sincerity. The roaches not accepting one makes Zelenskyy look very good. A clever game he played.
