The Supreme Court of Belarus has liquidated the human rights organization Belarusian Helsinki Committee. It is reported by “Vesna”.
The court called the grounds for liquidation a “gross violation of the law” by the organization.
According to the Belarusian Association of Journalists, the Belarusian Helsinki Committee was the last registered human rights organization in the country.
According to Vesna, more than 130 non-governmental organizations have been liquidated in Belarus in the last three months alone.
