The Russian city of St. Petersburg is the second city in Russia in terms of population after Moscow; the Russian Ministry of Defense cannot fully protect against drone strikes.

The Russian Ministry of Defense does not have sufficient air defense resources to completely close the sky over St. Petersburg, said the head of the defense committee of the State Duma of the aggressor country, Andrei Kartapolov, during a conversation with the Parliamentary Gazette.

The deputy also voiced a “horror story” – he claims that Ukrainian forces may allegedly begin to try to hit not only industrial enterprises in the Leningrad region, but also “objects of architectural and cultural heritage.” It is worth noting that an attack on civilian objects is a “trick” of the Russian occupation forces, who have already fired missiles in Ukraine more than once, in particular, at cultural objects.
