Now the White House is consulting with Ukraine and Congress.
The US State Department said that Ukraine’s security guarantees will be fixed in such a way as to outlive any American president .
This was announced at a briefing by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller when asked about the statements of the 45th President Donald Trump.
He regularly criticizes aid to Ukraine and promises to end the war within a day after his election.
“We need to conclude long-term security agreements that will outlive any administration, any government – both here in the United States and among our allies and partners who have signed up for the same long-term commitments,” Miller said.
The official said guarantees are now being discussed with Ukraine and Congress to understand the long-term funding structure.

As UNIAN previously reported, since the start of the full-scale war, the United States has provided Ukraine with $66.2 billion : $43.1 billion in military aid, $20.5 billion in economic aid, and $2.6 billion in humanitarian aid. This is the largest amount of US support for any other country in the world since the Marshall Plan.In July, it was reported that Trump was demanding that the US Congress stop military assistance to Ukraine.

I like that they want to make it impossible for Trump to stop the aid.
But I prefer Trump to be safely locked up. It is beyond ridiculous that we are even considering him becoming POTUS again as something that could seriously happen.

Fact is that both Biden and Trump are the wrong people to deal with this horriffic situation. Fresh young blood like Nikki is needed. That said, i oppose rigged elections as much as i oppose fake news and locking up or murdering political opponents.
I don’t know who I support yet. I hate it when politics gets mixed in with foreign policy. It’s not fair for Ukraine. I think Nikki has my vote so far. I still wish Condileeza Rice would run, she intimidated the shit out of the little fascist runt in the Kremlin. I remember the story she told that Putin introduced her to Yanukobytch saying, “He’s OUR guy.” And Condi replied, “Perhaps, but Ukraine is not yours.”

Bert only mentioned locking up one person – Trump. And Trump *should* be locked up for the crimes he’s committed – including crimes against the American people.
The Justice Department has already charged and obtained convictions for myriad foot soldiers related to the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, including charging well over 300 people for obstructing the congressional proceedings. In the latest indictment, the special counsel Jack Smith brings that same charge, but now against the leader of the effort to thwart the transfer of power. It would be grossly unfair for Trump to *not* be charged for the same thing others are already spending time for. *Not* charging Trump would be politicizing the matter. Everyone should be held equally accountable under the law.
“like Putin” – Trump is the one who spent years shouting “Lock her up” against his political rival, who hadn’t committed any crimes. So it’s natural that people shout “Lock him up” now that Trump’s crimes are being exposed. But let’s be very clear – he should be given a fair trial, televised to the world, so all of the evidence is seen by EVERYONE. Then convicted by a jury of his peers. *Then* — “lock him up!”
You won’t have any credibility until you hold Biden to the same standard.

Trump has done enough illegal things that justify a lengthy prison term.
All the charges against Trump have been political so far and he hasn’t been convicted of anything yet. Besides, Biden taking foreign bribes is 100x worse than anything Trump is accused of.

Except there’s no evidence of that. There’s tons of evidence of Trump’s crimes, but only accusations against Joe Biden that haven’t been backed up by any evidence that he actually did anything wrong.
I’ve posted here numerous times: I don’t care what Hunter Biden did. I only care about what Joe Biden – the person I voted for – did. And nobody has presented any evidence that President Joe Biden did anything wrong.
