The Russians have minus two Su-57s: the GUR confirmed the damage to a pair of “super-fighters”

According to confirmed data, two Russian Su-57 fighters were damaged on the territory of the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation .

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUD) of the Ministry of Defense, said this on the air of the information marathon. Yusov noted that the downing of the Su-57 took place almost 600 km from the Ukrainian border line on Russian territory.

“Regarding the confirmation of the damage, we can now say that one Su-57 has significant damage, and one has less damage. It is likely that it will be possible to restore it in a faster time. However, the fact is that the Su-57 aircraft were damaged for the first time and for the first time two such “supernova” Russian fighters were hit at once,” Yusov said.

Also, according to the representative of GUR, the Russians have been trying to bring it to serial production for quite a long time and have constantly postponed these deadlines.

“Now we are actually talking about artificial copies and artificial production up to a dozen. Actually, the enemy tried to hide and exaggerate the characteristics of this fighter as much as possible, calling it a fighter of the fifth generation. However, there are doubts about this,” said Yusov.

In addition, he added that the Su-57s did not cross the line of Ukrainian airspace because the Russians were afraid of losses and the work of the Ukrainian Air Force. However, these planes were used in Russian terrorist attacks on Ukrainian civilian objects.
