I noticed that some people across the ocean consider Ukraine β€œa small country in Europe”. Well, it is not the case at all…

First and foremost, we are the BIGGEST country in Europe by territory if you do not count Russia. You won’t cross it from the west to the east in a day if you drive a car (well you can if you really try, but I do not recommend it). And almost the whole territory is arable land, we have no tundra or sand deserts, it’s mostly continental climate with a bit of subtropics in southern Crimea, and some mountains in the West. We own 30% of the world’s most fertile lands and may feed half a billion people.

Apart from that, we have 5 % of world minerals. E.g. we have the biggest known Uranium deposits in the world, 4% of world Iron, 10% of magnesium, we have lithium, titanium, and almost everything from the periodic table. We even have gas to cover our own needs and not only.

And most importantly, people. In 1980ties, 40% of USSR army officers were Ukrainians, while we were just 20% of the population. Such disproportion can be explained by the level of education and number of military academies here. Lots of Soviet weapons were developed and produced in Ukraine, including their intercontinental ballistic rockets. Soviet space program in 1960ties was led by Ukrainians.

We are still producing rockets to carry satellites into space, the last one was launched after the war started. We are producing cargo aircraft, and the biggest cargo aircraft in the world was made here. We are among top 10 IT outsourcing countries, our programmers are working for the world’s top companies, we have one of the best banking apps in the world. Our military engineers are now making battle robots to fight Russian invasion.

Do you really want to let Russia take it all? Imagine what problems it will be able to create with the above resources (and it did so in the past).  As one former United States National Security Advisor said β€œwithout Ukraine, Russia can’t be an empire. With Ukraine, Russia will be an empire.”

So we are NOT a small country at all. We are the ones that may move the balance of power in the world in any direction. And we want to be with the Western world and make our input into the world civilization, not with Russia and help them to destroy what others have built.

β€œThey’re sitting on 10 to $12 trillion of critical minerals in- in Ukraine. They could be the richest country in all of Europe. I don’t want to give that money and those assets to Putin to share with China. If we help Ukraine now, they can become the best business partner we ever dreamed of, that 10 to $12 trillion of critical mineral assets could be used by Ukraine and the West, not given to Putin and China. This is a very big deal how Ukraine ends. Let’s help them win a war we can’t afford to lose. Let’s find a solution to this war. But they’re sitting on a gold mine. To give Putin 10 or $12 trillion for critical minerals that he will share with China is ridiculous.”

  1. So, this is addressed to those world leaders (if any) that understand that Ukraine’s territorial integrity must be restored in its entirety:
If savages came into your home, butt-raped your Mrs and said :
β€œOk we will stop. That is, if you give us your garden and your home. You can live in a shed at the bottom of the garden.”

    Any takers?
Thought not. Now, go all in for Ukraine and give them what they need.
    Then double it.

  2. On LinkedIn, posters must post in their (verified) own name.
    One putler-rimming troll has responded:

Well, and you just gambled with it, instead of making something out of it. And lost. The most precious ressources are gone with the east. And the west is widely sold to Americans by your corrupt officials. Ucraine has nothing left and her so-called president is a beggar. Well done.”

  3. It’s no wonder that the fascist mafiosi want to take Ukraine!
When I first saw the country’s pitch black rich soil, I thought it was coal!

    • I never knew what carrots were supposed to taste like until I ate one in Ukraine.

      • Lol! That’s true. And the size of their strawberries and raspberries is mind-blowing, too.

        • Not to mention the melons. Compared to these available in the EU, they are gigantic. Ukraine is the only place I’ve needed two hands to carry a watermelon.

          • They also have monster potatoes. I once saw one so big, it could feed a family of four!
