The Russians damaged the Kurakhiv reservoir dam: residents may be in danger

The OVA says that the strike on the dam potentially poses a threat to residents of settlements on the Vovchii River – both in Donetsk region and in Dnipro region.

The Russians damaged the Kurakhiv reservoir dam. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk regional state administration, head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin .

“This strike potentially threatens residents of settlements on the Vovchii River – both in Donetsk region and in Dnipro region,” he said in Telegram.

According to Filashkin, as of 4:00 p.m., it was established that the water level in the river within the Velikonovosilkiv community rose by 1.2 meters.

“The flooding of houses has not been recorded so far! We continue to monitor the water level in the river and are ready for any development,” the head of the OVA assured.

He added that he keeps the situation under personal control.
