Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused NATO countries and Ukraine of jointly preparing to create weapons designed for massive destruction and long-term disabling of Russian military airfields and air bases located deep in the Russian rear.

This is stated in Zakharova’s comment ,  Censor.NET reports .

Fear of long-range weapons and threats

Zakharova expressed concern about the prospects of new joint developments with the West appearing in Ukraine’s arsenal, which could finally paralyze the work of Russian combat aviation.

• According to her, this is about targeted preparations for the destruction of airfields deep inside Russia.

” With its recklessly aggressive actions, the Ukrainian-NATO alliance gives the Russian military additional reasons to demonstrate increased attention to any enterprises involved in the development and production of weapons used against our country. It is from these positions that we will assess both the current situation and the prospects for its further escalation ,” the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry threatened.

Accusations of “irrational fantasies”

Trying to downplay Ukraine’s strategic successes on the battlefield, Zakharova stated that the North Atlantic Alliance is allegedly completely “losing the remnants of rationality and drifting into a zone of increased risk.”

” The Kiev regime is intensifying its attempts to actually realize its long-cherished desire to draw NATO into a direct armed conflict with Russia in the vain hope of saving its hopeless position on the battlefield, which also obviously belongs to the category of irrational fantasies ,” the Russian official summarized.
