On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Russian terrorists attacked the Geriatric boarding house in Sumy . As a result of the attack by the occupiers, at least one person died, 12 were injured.
As reported in the Sumy Military Administration, people are currently being evacuated to other institutions. All services are engaged. A Russian projectile hit the building of the institution. 221 elderly people lived there, Volodymyr Artyukh, the head of Sumy OVA, told Suspilny .
“There are wounded, some of them are in serious condition and they have been hospitalized. Currently, the evacuation of elderly people to other facilities is taking place,” Volodymyr Artyukh said.
