The politician got angry because of the call of the European Parliament to allow Ukraine to strike deep into the Russian Federation.
Russia has threatened to launch a missile attack on Strasbourg if Ukraine is allowed to use Western weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, commenting on the news that the European Parliament called on Ukraine to lift restrictions on strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation.
“If this happens, Russia will give a tough response with the use of more powerful weapons. No one should have any illusions about this. The State Duma insists on this,” Volodin said.
Moreover, the Russian politician asked two public questions to the members of the European Parliament. He is interested in whether they consulted voters before voting for this decision and whether Europeans want “the war to come to their house.”
“Before making such a decision, it was necessary to remember the lessons of the Second World War. Then 27 million Soviet citizens died in the fight against fascism. It was our country that liberated you and all of Europe… The only thing that the European Parliament should do after such a statement is – For reference: the Sarmat rocket’s teenage time is 3 minutes and 20 seconds,” added Volodin.

I very much doubt the Soviet bloc countries ever felt liberated. The only europeans that were liberated, are the ones lucky enough to be to the West of Berlin.
Yes, we saw how grateful the Eastern Europeans were for this sort of “liberation” by joining NATO promptly after being freed.
Will this get Europe to respond appropriately?
