The Russians argue that it is much cheaper to buy older tanks for war.
Russia has put a new T-14 Armata tank into service with its army . However, he will not be sent to the front in Ukraine.

According to the propaganda RIA-Novosti, this was stated by Rostec General Director Sergei Chemezov. “Armata”, according to him, is supposedly much superior to other Russian and Soviet tanks in its characteristics.
“But during the war (as Russians call the war – UNIAN), these tanks are unlikely to be used because of their high cost. It is easier for the army to purchase cheaper T-90 tanks,” propagandists write, citing Chemezov.
Russian tank T14 “Armata”
According to its creators, the T-14 Armata is a next-generation Russian main battle tank, designed for use within the framework of a “network-centric concept” of combat. The tank differs from classic Soviet and Russian tanks in its unmanned turret and many different innovations in the field of reconnaissance, fire control and camouflage.
Although the start of large-scale production was announced back in 2015, according to open data, only about 30 units have been produced to date. In April, Russian media reported that the Armata was being used at the front to shell Ukrainian positions, but had not yet been involved in direct military clashes.
Ukrainian military expert Oleg Zhdanov previously expressed confidence that this tank turned out to be “a real “zilch”: “a classic example of a balloon deflating.”

Putin: The best tank of the world will not be sent to Ukraine, we will use our old museum-pieces! Hear, hear!!!
They will be only used during May 1 parades!
Putin needs his real hardware and professional army to keep China at bay. To Ukraine he will send old tanks, badly maintained planes, prisoners and drunk bums. Not very effective though, which is good for Ukraine, so far.
Ha, my initial thought, too! “So those 14 or so Armatas will be used to deter China from invading Russia?” Looks like delusion has taken over in Kreml! 😁

Can’t argue with that.
When you have plenty of zombies to drive them it doesn’t matter if they are shit and don’t protect against modern weapons.
Hey, it would be even cheaper to build cardboard tanks that can be carried by four mobicks, who will shout “boom, boom!” when attacking the frontline! What difference does it make?
😁
It would be very embarrassing watching this junk getting towed from the front, as Ukraine bomb the shit out of it.
