The Russian Federation has begun the “demilitarization” of Kaliningrad against the background of fighting in the Kursk region, – Lithuanian Defense Minister

He also noted that allowing the Ukrainian military to use long-range weapons would be a good sign.

The Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation has been going on for several days. Russia began to transfer troops there not only from the front in Ukraine, but also from Kaliningrad.

This was said by the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Laurinas Kaschyunas, during a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv. He also expressed respect for Ukraine’s actions “in the north” and emphasized that now no one is saying that “red lines” have been crossed.

“I say to the Lithuanian people: look at how the Ukrainians are fighting for you, because because of their struggle they (the Russians, ed.) have to withdraw their troops from Kaliningrad. We even call it the “demilitarization” of Kaliningrad, which is happening thanks to the bravery of your soldiers, thanks to your decisions,” Kaschyunas said.

He also noted that allowing the Ukrainian military to use long-range weapons would be a good sign.

“We are lobbying for it, I am sure that we should do it,” the Lithuanian minister added.

  1. At some point and I really mean this, the Baltic states step up and assist Ukraine. There all bordered with Ukraine. They need to step up against Russia and say you’re attacking our neighbor and stand together. Weak Baltic states are afraid to stand up to this Incursion . There next, stupid should they think there safe.

    • LOL. The idiocy is laughable. First, the Baltic states have given more as a percent of their GDP than countries like Germany, France, and the US. The ones that need to step up iin particular is the US, with Biden giving a measly number of tanks and no F-16s while smaller, less wealthy EU nations have delivered more. Countries like the UK and Germany have placed no restrictions on the use of their weapons against Russia, but the coward in the White House continues to place limits in a sad attempt to micromanage the war. Finally, Mr. Uneducated, most of the Baltic states are part of NATO. Them getting involved will mean dragging the whole alliance into the war, and I’m pretty sure they would be strongly advised to not do so by the likes of Biden, Macron and Putin. Afraid to stand up? Sigh, the problem with the internet is that even idiots can share in their uninformed thoughts. The stupid one here is YOU, you fool.

      Second: Check your translator.

  2. Kaliningrad needs to be taken by Ukraine or a Nato state as compensation for the illegal taking of lives and territory of Ukraine. And further as war crimes by Putin.
