Pellegrini confirmed that the country is taking part in supporting the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.

Slovak President Peter Pellegrini said that his country is taking part in supporting the Czech initiative to purchase artillery shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Pellegrini, during a visit to the Czech Republic, said that Bratislava supports Kyiv in ways that are not talked about too often. As an example, he cited electricity supplies so that the Ukrainian energy system does not experience collapse, Pravda reports .
Pellegrini confirmed that the country is taking part in supporting the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.
“Thanks to our production capabilities, we will make a significant contribution to the success of the Czech ammunition procurement initiative,” the president said.
He claims that Slovakia has increased the production and repair of shells of the required calibers.
“A significant part of the ammunition collected by the Czech Republic will be recovered and produced directly at Slovak factories,” he added.

By the end of this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive about 500 thousand artillery shells as part of assistance from the Czech Republic.
As reported by Euractiv, citing Czech officials, the delivery of ammunition is scheduled for July. However, the publication’s sources did not disclose their number. Let us remind you that the Czech authorities do not disclose in which countries they buy ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
