Ukraine
The occupiers transported children from a social center in Khartsyzk to Moscow for assimilation.
To achieve this, they organized a standard propaganda program, which is routinely conducted during the deportation of children to russ. This includes excursions to places of “russian glory” and placement in russian families, aiming to assimilate Ukrainian children. Often, these children remain in their new “families” permanently. The kremlin continues to impose russian identity on Ukrainians, using such methods as part of its genocidal policy.
These actions violate the Geneva Convention and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
russ must be held accountable for its crimes!

Here are the key provisions that are being violated:
- Geneva Convention (IV) on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War (1949)
• Article 49: Prohibits the forcible transfer or deportation of civilians from occupied territories to the occupying state’s territory.
• Article 50: Provides special protection to children, prohibiting any measures that may alter their national or cultural identity. - UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989)
• Article 8: Obligates states to respect the child’s right to preserve their identity, including nationality, name, and family ties.
• Article 9: Prohibits the separation of children from their parents against their will, except in cases where it is necessary for their welfare.
• Article 20: Provides that children deprived of their family environment have the right to special protection and assistance, with their cultural identity preserved. - Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948)
• Article II(e): The forcible transfer of children from one group to another to destroy their national, ethnical, or cultural identity constitutes an act of genocide. - UN Security Council Resolution 2427 (2018)
Condemns violations of children’s rights in armed conflicts, including forced deportations, and calls for their rehabilitation and reintegration.
- Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (1998)
• Article 7 (Crimes Against Humanity): Forced displacement of populations is a crime against humanity.
• Article 8 (War Crimes): Deportation or forcible transfer of populations from occupied territories is a war crime.
Key Violations:
• Forced Assimilation: The attempt to change the cultural and national identity of children.
• Forced Deportation: The illegal removal of children from occupied territories to the occupying country.
• Genocide: Actions aimed at destroying the Ukrainian national group through the deportation and assimilation of children.
Russia, as a party to the Geneva Conventions and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, is obligated to adhere to these norms but is flagrantly violating them, which requires an international response and accountability.
