The occupiers have completely disconnected Zaporizhzhya NPP from the Ukrainian power system

The last two working power units of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant were disconnected from the network in the afternoon of August 25.

Energoatom reported that in this way the ZNPP is now completely disconnected from the Ukrainian power grid. This happened for the first time in the history of the station.

Also, due to a fire at the Zaporizhzhya TPP ash pits, the last (fourth) communication line of the ZNPP with the energy system of Ukraine was disconnected twice today.

The ZNPP provides its own electricity needs through a communication line with the nearby TPP.

Safety automation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP is now working normally. Work is underway to connect one of the power units to the state power grid.
