The death toll from the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of June 23 has risen to 9 people, the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office reported .

It is noted that rescuers pulled a 41-year-old woman from the rubble. Later, her 11-year-old daughter.

“Rescuers continue to dismantle damaged structures of the building, under which people may be located,” the prosecutor’s office added.

Russian attack on Kyiv: what is known

On the night of June 23, the Russian invaders launched another massive strike on Ukraine. According to the Air Force, the occupiers launched 11 ballistic and 5 cruise missiles, as well as over 350 drones, at Ukrainian cities .

Later, Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that the main target of the Russians that night was again the capital. He noted that enemy targets were hit in six locations in Kyiv .

In particular, in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital, an enemy missile hit a 5-story residential building . According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, the explosion there was so strong that cars located 200-300 meters from the impact site were cut up.
