The Netherlands has frozen the patents of major Russian oil and gas companies.
This is reported by the Netherlands Broadcasting Corporation (NOS) with reference to the country’s patent office, enkorr reports .
In addition, Dutch companies are trying to get rid of their Russian patents because they have become unusable, patent experts say.
“In this way, the economic war between Europe and Russia also affects the system that is supposed to protect inventors from counterfeiting,” the publication notes.
With a patent, a company establishes that a certain invention can be counterfeited.
Russia previously froze the patents of European companies, which means that Russian manufacturers no longer need to take into account the patents of, for example, Dutch companies. They are allowed to counterfeit products without paying for them.
As the publication notes, “Gazprom”, “Rosneft” and “Transneft” have a total of six patents in the Netherlands. These patents protect, among other things, seismic sensors, gas turbine designs and other inventions made by the companies’ employees. Джерело: https://biz.censor.net/n3373741
