The leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany party, Tino Hrupalla, has called on the federal government to recognize Russia as the winner in the war against Ukraine . He stated this in an interview with the Welt newspaper .

“Russia won this war,” said the head of Alternative for Germany, adding that “reality has caught those who claim to want to give Ukraine the opportunity to win the war by surprise.”

The politician also questioned Germany’s continued membership in NATO.

“A defense alliance must accept and respect the interests of all European countries – that is, the interests of Russia as well,” Khrupalla said.

According to him, if the Alliance cannot provide this, Germany should think about how much this association still benefits the country.
