Peskov called this decision “the best contribution to the cause of peace.”
Russia has commented on US President Donald Trump’s decision to stop aid to Ukraine . Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that in this way the US would make “the best contribution to peace.”

“We see that some European countries are declaring that they will continue to provide comprehensive assistance (to Ukraine), they will somehow try to compensate for the lost volumes of ammunition and everything else. But the most important volume has so far come from the United States…,” he noted.
According to Peskov, until now the United States has been the “main supplier of war” in Ukraine.
“If the United States suspends these supplies, it will be the best contribution to peace,” he said.
Peskov also said that Russia welcomes “any efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.”
He also noted that relations between Russia and the United States “need to be freed from the negative burden of sanctions,” but, according to him, the Kremlin has not yet heard official statements about the possibility of a partial lifting of sanctions from the United States.
Trump Stops Aid to Ukraine
All U.S. military equipment not currently in Ukraine has been suspended, including weapons en route on planes and ships or waiting in transit zones in Poland, a Trump administration official said.
As American officials and experts note, Ukraine will feel the consequences of the termination of American aid in a few months, but the effect of such a decision will be “devastating.”

Russia is very pleased with all the decisions Trump is making. Everything Putin wants, Trump is doing with a smile.
