The Kremlin cynically commented on the massive attacks on Ukraine

Peskov claims that the Russian army is carrying out Putin’s orders.

After massive attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, in particular Odessa, the Kremlin cynically stated that they had promised not to attack only the energy sector.

As reported by Russian media , the corresponding statement was made by the press secretary of the Kremlin ruler Putin, Dmitry Peskov. According to the released audio recording, he first said that Kyiv “cannot be trusted,” and then that Putin’s order to refrain from strikes is in effect, and the Russian Armed Forces are carrying it out:

“The order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is in effect. And the Russian armed forces are currently refraining from striking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, in accordance with the agreement that was reached between the US and Russia.”
