Fumio Kishida came to Ukraine in March, presumably, he was shown Bucha and other Russian crime scenes.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told members of the UN Security Council about the terrible feelings he experienced during his visit to war-torn Ukraine.

Speaking at a meeting of the Security Council , he announced an “unprecedented crisis” in the international order based on the rule of law. According to Kishida, he “will never forget the terrible feelings” he experienced while visiting Ukraine.

Kishida noted that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has heightened concerns about the reign of lawlessness around the world. The Japanese politician also confirmed that Tokyo has “resolve” to support Ukraine.

“We must not allow the creation of a second or third Ukraine,” he said, apparently alluding to the division of Korea.

Kishida also said that Russia’s “abuse of veto power” to obstruct Security Council decisions “cannot be accepted by the international community.”

Kisida’s visit to Ukraine

The current Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, came to Ukraine at the end of March this year. As with other visits of foreign government leaders, this one was also kept secret until they arrived in Ukraine.

The details of the visit program were not particularly disclosed. It is known that the Japanese prime minister met with Vladimir Zelensky and paid tribute to the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine. Typically, foreign leaders visiting Kiev also visit Bucha or other towns and villages around the capital that were damaged during the Russian invasion. Whether this was the case with Kishida was not reported.

  1. As a wealthy, important and responsible democracy, Japan needs to be pulling its weight in terms of donations.
At the moment its words are supportive but its donations don’t match those words.
Solovyov btw repeated his vile claim that “Bucha was created by British PR people.”
Putinazi turds of course believe it and the more absurd the lie, the more alt-right and tankie fuckwits in the west believe it.

      • If Russia had “only” perpetrated Bucha, that would surely be enough to condemn the savages for 1000 years?
But we know it’s just the tip of a dreadful iceberg.
Important people like him have visited, but not one has said :
“Enough. I will do absolutely EVERYTHING in my power to bring this horror to an end.”

  2. “Kishida noted that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has heightened concerns about the reign of lawlessness around the world.”

The West must take a good, long, hard look into a mirror to see who is partially at fault for this development. Even today, too many of us are sleeping at the wheel. One of them is our POTUS.

  3. For Japan, the war in Ukraine happens far away, almost on the other side of the globe. And still, prime minister Kishida went on a long journey, to get a first hand impression. And then made a strong stand at the UN against Putins horrible atrocity. That deserves praise.
Plus, that President Zelenskyy reaches out to heads of state all around the world will also reap rewards after the war. Ukraine has shown up on the radar in many countries now, that’s a good foundation for future relationships. Especially with Japan, still one of the leading technology centers. A country with lots of highly qualified people, vast areascfor industrial development, and a promising EU membership candidacy, will be very interesting for investors. Here’s looking forward to an Ukrainian “Wirtschaftswunder”(‘economic miracle’) starting in 2025. Like a Phenix rising from ashes!
