All agricultural equipment used for sowing work in the border zone in the Belgorod region must be equipped with means of protection against drones. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced this at an operational meeting of the regional government .
Minister of Agriculture of the Belgorod Region Andrei Antonenko said that managers of agricultural enterprises are recommended to buy electronic warfare equipment against drones, as well as to manufacture and install “anti-drone protection” for self-propelled equipment.
In turn, Gladkov said that installing anti-drone nets on equipment is not a recommendation, but an obligation of companies. In the absence of protection, he proposed not to pay compensation for damaged equipment, since “the enterprise is able to minimize the damage by installing such protection.”
“We agree with them that we will restore the damage caused by shelling. But if such protection is not established, my proposal is: within the framework of the law, we will not pay compensation. <…> Of course, given the current difficult situation, the presence of anti-drone nets on agricultural machinery should be mandatory. The technology is extremely expensive. Everyone can make basic protection. Therefore, this is mandatory,” Gladkov said (quoted from BelPress ).
