The first-ever combat engagement between uncrewed surface vessels: Ukrainian Sargan destroys Russian USV

The Naval Forces, in coordination with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), conducted a successful operation in the Black Sea and destroyed a Russian uncrewed surface vessel (USV).

DIU units detected the target. The Ukrainian Navy’s Sargan 3000 USV, equipped with a 12.7mm “Protector” RWS (Remote Weapon Station), successfully destroyed it.

This marks the first-ever naval combat engagement between uncrewed surface vessels.
