Ukraine will begin receiving these missiles in significant quantities only next year.
In August, the US approved the sale of 3,350 ERAM cruise missiles to Ukraine . But they will not begin to arrive in significant quantities until next year, Aviationweek reports .
The publication notes that for the American military-industrial complex, accustomed to long cycles of weapons development and production, ERAM missiles have become one of the first products of the new paradigm of “rapid procurement”. The Pentagon published a tender for the development and production of these missiles only in August last year, and the first deliveries are due to take place in October this year.

Although Ukraine is allowed to buy up to 3,350 missiles, the first batch produced will be meager: the first 10 missiles will be delivered in October.
The situation should improve next year. According to documents obtained by the publication, a batch of 840 ERAM modules, divided into two designs, separately manufactured by CoAspire and Zone 5 Technologies, will be delivered by the end of October 2026.
ERAM missiles: what you need to know
As UNIAN wrote, the ERAM cruise missiles are a new development of the American military-industrial complex, created in particular for the needs of Ukraine. That is why these missiles can be launched not only from American F-16 fighters, but also from Soviet MiG-29s. The missile itself has a total mass of about 227 kg, which means a relatively small warhead. Among the known characteristics are also a range of 400 km and a speed of about Mach 0.6.
As explained by the former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ihor Romanenko, ERAM missiles are very necessary for Ukraine , as they are perfectly suited for striking the enemy’s operational rear areas – at a distance of up to 200 km or more.
