The enemy massively attacked Chornomorsk in the Odessa region: almost 30 thousand people were left without electricity

According to the expert, the occupiers launched more than fifty “Shaheeds” at Chornomorsk.

On the night of August 31, the Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on the Odessa region with drones. They launched a record number of Shahed missiles at the city of Chornomorsk , where the seaport of the same name is located.

As an UNIAN correspondent reports, monitoring channels began reporting that “Shaheeds” had begun to gather over the sea on August 30 at around 10:00 p.m. Later, it became known that there were a lot of drones, they were “circling” over the water area and approaching the coast of the Odessa region.

The air raid alert was announced at approximately 11:27 p.m. The head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper, called on the population of Odessa and the Odessa region to take shelter.

“The threat of using strike drones!” the official emphasized.

Dozens of “Shaheeds” entered the Odessa region, in particular the city of Chornomorsk and its surroundings in several waves for several hours. Local residents reported that the city was very noisy, fires broke out due to the enemy attack. Explosions could be heard even in Odessa. Monitoring channels noted that this was the most massive attack on Chornomorsk since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.

Military-political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko stated that on the night of August 31, the occupiers launched a record number of strike drones into Chornomorsk – over fifty, most of which were shot down.

Kiper later reported that Chornomorsk and its surroundings were the most affected by the massive attack. The impact caused damage to the energy infrastructure.

“Currently, more than 29 thousand subscribers are without electricity. Restoration work has already begun. Critical infrastructure is powered by generators. Private homes and administrative buildings were also damaged. Fires broke out in some places, which were quickly extinguished by our rescuers,” the official said.

According to preliminary data, one person was injured. As Kiper noted, all authorized services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

The regional headquarters of the State Emergency Service clarified that as a result of the hits, fires broke out at energy infrastructure facilities. According to local residents, most of the city was left without electricity due to the Russian attack. At the same time, people are noticing that some residents were “streaming” reports of the strikes in real time.

“There is no light in most of the city… The consequences are being clarified. Thank you to the air defense forces. The whole city heard and saw your work. These separatists are interesting creatures, they, their home, their family are destroyed by the Shahed, and they continue to help them. We are not trained,” wrote Valentyn Tkachuk, a resident of Chornomorsk, on Facebook .
