The economic and geopolitical value of Ukraine

An awesome post from Volodymyr Kukharenko

For those who do not understand the economic and geopolitical value of Ukraine for you, read below.

First and foremost, we can feed 500 million people while having a population of 40 million. That’s the population of the whole EU. Because we are 1st in Europe in terms of arable land area, 3rd in the world in terms of black soil area. We are 1st in the world in sunflower oil exports, 2nd in the world in barley production, 3rd largest producer of corn, 4th largest producer of potatoes, 5th largest producer of rye, bee, 8th in the world in wheat exports, 9th in the world in chicken egg production.

Not big deal you may say, you can feed yourself. But North Africa can’t, that’s where Ukrainian grain goes. So if Russia takes Ukraine, it may close the supply and push the hungry and desperate people to EU. Many millions of them. They know how to starve people, google “Holodomor 1933” to have better idea.

We are 1st place in Europe in proven reserves of uranium ores. It means nuclear energy and, if it gets into wrong hands, nuclear bombs. We are 2nd place in Europe by titanium ore deposit in Europe, 2nd place in the world in explored reserves of manganese ores, 2nd largest reserves of iron ore in the world, 2nd place in Europe for mercury ore reserves, 3rd place in Europe (13th place in the world) for shale gas reserve.

But we are not just farmers and holders of natural resources as many would think. We are making cargo aircrafts, and even 4th largest producer of rocket launchers in the world.Just a few countries in the world can do it. You know that Russia still uses the strategic nukes rockets developed by Ukrainian engineers, and has problems with making their own?

We are in top-10 world IT outsourcing countries, have one of the best software engineers in the world.

And you know we have one of the best soldiers in the world. Our drones have already drowned 30% of Russian Black Sea fleet, destroyed hundreds of tanks, making them very cost-effective weapons that we had to make. We are working on battle robots now.

Do you really think it’s a good idea to give it all to Russia? Guess how it will all be used.

Volodymyr Kukharenko Very well written and another reason why Poland and the rest of the EU should do much more for Ukraine.

Just for the record, some people deny that the Holodomor ever happened.

Volodymyr Kukharenko

Like many deny Holocaust or many other genocides. But my great-grandmother survived it when she was 13, and in her 70ties she was crying every time when the crops were just a bit less than usual. She was afraid that the famine would come again, and we kids were laughing at her as we knew natural hunger in Ukraine is not even possible, with such land and agriculture.

  1. I think the EU is afraid of Ukraine’s economic potential. That’s why it is so shameful that North America is letting Ukraine downe in such crucial and difficult times. The Empire could handle Ukraine and protect Ukraine. Instead we are witnessing a clown show i wish i would never ever see again after Obummer left office. RuSSian trolls with fake American profiles on social media keep shitting peoole into their brains on a daily basis, and Elon Muskovy makes sure they stay online. Fuck this whole mess! 😤🤒

  2. As an example of Ukraine’s potential, numerous arms conglomerates have already discovered Ukraine as a location to produce weapons and ammo. The agricultural section is also strong in the country. There’s IT, shipbuilding, aircraft, gas turbine production, natural gas, and, of course, drones., and so much more.
