House Intel Chair Mike Turner expects Ukraine aid to be approved this week. This is LONG overdue. The Iranian terrorist attack on Israel proved the West has enough weapons to shoot down all or nearly all Iranian weapons.
But we haven’t been providing enough to Ukraine for over two years.
Ukraine is taking on a peer adversary (in other words “enemy”) of the United States.
The only real or perceived threat to the rest of Europe comes from only one threat: Russia.
Ukraine has been under funded, under-armed and not provided enough ammo to defend against one of the largest global threats, and make no mistake Russia is a terrorist organization and a State Sponsor of Terror.
The United States Army I entered in 1984 defended democracies globally. That’s why many of us joined. And I believe we still do. Our military wants to provide Ukraine with everything needed to win.
But if our politicians do not approve the Ukraine aid immediately, Europe will be changed for decades. More Ukrainians will suffer under the yoke of tyranny, that CAN be prevented.
U.S. credibility in Europe will be harmed for generations. And Putin has already proven to be a tyrant that deserves the U.S. full commitment of weapons and ammo for Ukraine to win. Not tie.
Only the U.S. can provide what is needed in weapons and ammo. And it is our moral responsibility, passed down, hard fought and hard earned, from generations, to suppprt Ukraine fully. Immediately.

While Europe should have foreseen what was coming for many years , it doubled down on investment in Russia dispite the clear warning signs , all for profits from cheap oil and gas that benefited an elite demographic of professional politicians who moved to the corporate sector, and for other politicians to benefit from the cheap energy ignoring the reality of the danger , now Ukriane is paying the price , Moldova and the Baltic nations will be next .
What’s particularly disappointing and does leave a huge question mark over US credibility, is the fact that Ukriane gave up its long range weapons and nuclear weapons because of promises given to protect the country in the event of the very actions now taking place by Russia .
Of course the fear of a nuclear weapon being used is real and i suspect will be used as Putin has not left himself any other way out of the current situation, he’s using a nuclear power plant as leverage, which threatens Europe , so regardless of the current climate Europe needs to support Ukriane with everything it can.
Of course the US should also , keeping in mind , the money earmarked for Ukraine the majority goes to US companies to supply weapons.

3xpectations, shmespectations. There had been a lot of Rethuglican promises that an arms delivery bill would pass soon – all wrong, most probably deliberate distractions. Mike Turner is just another one of those spindoctors, he can’t be trusted on this. 😠
I will believe it when I see it, and not a single second sooner.
