A powerful strike by Ukrainian defenders on the Russian base in the temporarily occupied Makiivka of the Donetsk region undermined the authority of the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin

This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Analysts note that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has acknowledged the losses, but is trying to shift responsibility for them to puppets from the quasi-republic of the DNR. They, in turn, claim that the soldiers who used the phones and thereby enabled the Armed Forces to track the signals and clearly determine the coordinates for the attack are to blame for everything.

“At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry’s vague recognition of the strike drew criticism from the Russian military command,” the ISW report says.

According to experts, the media bloggers associated with the “Wagner” PMC emphasized that the Russian military command made it easier for the Ukrainian forces to strike by keeping several hundred soldiers in one place, and also called the DNR’s explanation regarding the use of mobile phones “a lie.”

Other media bloggers claimed that the command had witnessed similar attacks over the past 11 months, but showed “criminal negligence” and did not even try to disperse the troops in Makiivka to smaller groups in the rear.

The Institute for the Study of War adds that such military setbacks will increasingly complicate Putin’s efforts to appease the pro-war community and maintain a dominant narrative in the domestic information space.

“The dictator has already ordered an investigation by January 6. However, Putin’s inability to respond to criticism and correct the shortcomings of the Russian military campaign undermines his authority as a military leader,” the analysts concluded.

  • We will remind you that on New Year’s Eve, the Armed Forces  of Ukraine hit  the barracks of the occupiers in Makiivka with HIMARS. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claims that they lost 63 soldiers.

  1. I think the rat’s handling of this war has already set a precedent case as being the world’s and history’s worst.

      • Indeed, this war will set new standards for future military cadets to learn; mafia land’s stupidity and Ukraine’s brilliance.

        • Yeah, new military precedent.
Instead of “No man left behind” they steal from their dead and leave them for fertilizer.
Instead of the Captain going down with the ship, the Captains leave the battlefield and wish luck to their meat puppets.
Ukraine is targeting military leadership, the Moskali are targeting the most innocent and vulnerable.
Instead of telling the truth to your troops you tell them it will be over in 3 days and to bring their parade uniforms.
Instead of telling the Generals and Putin the truth, they make up lies and then they have to face the same defeat over and over again.
