The meeting will take place next week.

The CDU/CSU parliamentary faction wants to re-vote the issue of transferring German Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine .

The first parliamentary secretary of the faction, Torsten Frei, spoke about this in a commentary to the Rheinische Post . “The parliamentary faction of the CDU/CSU will put the issue of supplying the Taurus to a roll-call vote in the Bundestag next session week. Parliament must take the initiative,” he said.

They want to put the proposal on the agenda of the meeting, which will take place on Thursday, March 14. The document calls on the German government to “finally satisfy the Ukrainian request for the supply of Taurus cruise missiles from existing Bundeswehr stocks in the maximum possible volume and without delay.”

  1. Is this just another resolution. Or is it law and Scholz must do what the parliament says?

  2. My understanding it would still be up to Scholz. So unfortunately probably won’t make any difference in supplying Taurus to Ukraine.

Interesting article in Politico today saying Scholz inconsistency on supporting Ukraine is intentional.
