The Defense Forces have destroyed a Russian electronic warfare system “Volna Kupol Garant” on the territory of military unit No. 2156 in Gelendzhik, Russia, where  the Russians shot down a drone right above a beach filled with people . This was reported by OSINT analyst Dnipro Osint 〈Garbuz〉, who published satellite images for August 7.

It is worth noting that Osint did not indicate the exact date of the Dnipro attack.

“Volna Kupol Garant” is a Russian electronic warfare system designed to suppress Starlink satellite communications, his post says.

Dnipro Osint explained that the complex creates directional radio interference towards the satellite, preventing it from receiving signals from ground terminals.

“This is the third case of the destruction of this complex recorded in open sources,” he added.

Previously, monitors wrote about an explosion in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Territory. 

“The direction of the explosion points to the territory of military unit 2156 and the adjacent military training ground, where the border service of the FSB of the Russian Federation is located,” they noted.
