Ukrainian drones targeted the technical and operational part of the air base, where the planes were gathered.

Tonight, the Defense Forces of Ukraine delivered another attack on Russia with the help of drones , the target of which was the Morozovsk air base in the Rostov region, approximately 300 km from the current front line. Satellite images of the impact have already appeared on the Internet. Defense Express experts analyzed the photo and suggested how many enemy aircraft could have been hit.

“Satellite images released by OSINT analyst Brady Afrik demonstrate that in the Russian Federation, drones are traditionally intercepted by the objects they were supposed to hit,” experts note.

In particular, one of the pictures shows the technical and operational part of the airbase, where aircraft are inspected, serviced and repaired. Five aircraft, which can be identified as Su-34 front-line bombers or Su-30 fighters, were recorded on the battlefield in front of it on June 4.

“And in today’s photo from June 14, there are only traces of a fire on the site, there is a direct hit to the hangar where the planes are serviced. And if you look closely, you can see in the gap that there are two planes,” analysts say.

That is, it is impossible to say that five planes were destroyed or damaged during this strike. Because since June 4, i.e. in ten days, the planes have been changing their location precisely, Defense Express writes.

At the same time, analysts note, if you take the public Sentinel photo from the European Space Agency, which was taken on the morning of June 13, that is, the day before the impact, then despite the low quality, you can see that there is one plane on the site.

“Thus, taking into account the fact that traces of fire can be seen on this site in front of the destroyed hangar, it is possible to assume that we are talking about at least three affected Russian planes. Two in the hangar and one in front of it,” Defense Express concludes.

  1. I’m hearing from various sources that 6 planes were destroyed, and 8 damaged. Of course none of this has been confirmed yet.
