As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of Thursday, July 31, the Alley of the Righteous in Babyn Yar – a memorial complex included in the UNESCO list – was damaged.

This was reported by the Jewish.news publication, Censor.NET informs  .

It is noted that this is the third Russian strike on the territory of Babyn Yar since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. The first shelling occurred on March 1, 2022: then five people died, including a child.

“The attack on the Alley of the Righteous is considered a war crime against cultural heritage and memory,” the publication added.

As a reminder, on the night of July 31, the enemy attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones . The Sviatoshynskyi and Solomyanskyi districts were the most affected.

According to the latest data, 11 people died as a result of the combined strike, including a 6-year-old boy .
