A 24-year-old woman in labor who was injured in a Russian attack on the night of September 7 died in hospital. Her life was fought for over two weeks.

“UP. Life” was informed about this by the Kyiv police,  Censor.NET reports .

Tetyana Sakiyan lived in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital, where a high-rise building was damaged as a result of the Russian attack.

In extremely serious condition, she was taken to the hospital, where a cesarean section was performed. The baby was born prematurely.

As a reminder, the woman was diagnosed with blast trauma, burn disease (95% damage), deep burns. Among other things, sepsis, multiple organ failure, toxic myocarditis, and toxic hepatitis. She was on artificial ventilation.

To determine the treatment plan, a general consultation of gynecologists, anesthesiologists, and combustiologists (those who deal with burns) was held twice a week, and leading specialists from medical universities were involved, Hromadske writes .

Doctors described the woman’s condition as serious and unstable. Despite the fact that she was conscious, her laboratory indicators, such as her leukocyte level, were deteriorating.

“We tried to do everything possible, the post was with the patient constantly. The head of the intensive care unit herself was there, we followed all the recommendations of the council – both regarding drainage and warming oxygen. Medications, skin coverings, dressings – we got everything we could. Everything that was recommended was done. But, unfortunately, her condition gradually worsened. On Monday (September 22 – ed.), a professor-anesthesiologist from the council arrived, the gynecologists saw her. Her condition was already deteriorating so rapidly. By the evening, at 8:45 p.m., they declared her dead,” said Tetyana Bondarenko, deputy director of the Kyiv Clinical Hospital.

Tetyana’s civilian husband, who was in a neighboring intensive care unit with 70% burns, was moved to the burn unit after his condition improved.

Recall that on September 7, 2025, the Government Building , its roof and upper floors, were damaged for the first time due to an enemy attack.

As a result of the massive Russian shelling of Kyiv, 3 people were killed in a 9-story residential building, 1 of them a child. Another 11 people were injured.
