Tambov Gunpowder Plant Hit: Source Reveals Details of Attack on Russia (Video)

The attack was carried out using kamikaze drones, one of which successfully hit the target, journalists learned.

As a result of an operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Tambov Gunpowder Plant in the city of Kotovsk in the Tambov Region of the Russian Federation was damaged on the morning of July 4.

As UNIAN was informed by a source in Ukrainian intelligence, the attack was carried out using kamikaze drones, one of which successfully hit the enemy’s military-industrial complex. The consequences of the hit, the extent of the damage and information about the enemy’s losses are still being clarified.

At the same time, according to the source, the official authorities of the aggressor state deny the fact of the destruction of the gunpowder plant. Thus, the “governor” of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov, in particular, noted that “both UAVs were destroyed, there are no casualties or damage, the situation is under control.”

Despite this, as stated by the Ukrainian special service, local residents are publishing videos online that clearly show the impact of one of the kamikaze drones, followed by detonation and fire on the territory of the facility. “Of course, there was no impact. And in that case, the Tambov Gunpowder Plant was also not there,” a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense commented on the operation.
