I noticed one thing about russians everybody else missed.

It’s 2026, the russian war against Ukraine lasts 12 years, its active phase – almost four and half years. I’ve read, probably, tens of thousands of comments in my social media. There’s hundreds of comments from decent people in the US apologizing for Trump cutting help to Ukraine (even though they don’t have to). Thousands of Europeans apologizing for not supporting Ukraine enough (even though they also don’t have to).

At the same time, russians in the comments either support the killing or attempt to prove that ā€œnot all russians are badā€. Even those who stand against the war in most cases don’t apologize for their country, don’t show support to Ukraine, there’s not a single ā€œI’m sorryā€ except for literally five cases I know since 2022. Five among millions.

When you know your country commits atrocities and your taxes fuel the war, you always have a choice – as a human, as a person. Typical russian choice is neither an apology or support, nor a kind word to those who suffer from their country’s atrocious invasion. In most cases it’s literally a ridiculous attempt to justify why russians are ā€œgenerally good but impotentā€. I find it simply disgusting.

ā€œIt’s not our faultā€, they say. ā€œYou don’t know what it means to be a russian. Why should we apologize?ā€

I mean, yeah, for sure. It’s always nobody’s fault.

    • Like I have said for years: Russia that wonderful land where everything is someone else’s fault.
Which really means they can rationalize anything they do.

    • “When you know your country commits atrocities and your taxes fuel the war, you always have a choice – as a human, as a person.”

They are not human. They are not persons. They are cockroaches. They are willing slaves.
