Pellegrini said that Slovakia has become one of the main ammunition producers within NATO.

Slovakia is supplying ammunition to Ukraine in “millions” of volumes, and this amount will continue to grow in the future. This was stated by the country’s President Peter Pellegrini after a meeting of representatives of the Bucharest Nine, Teraz writes .
According to him, Slovakia is actively investing in weapons production, and the military-industrial complex now accounts for almost 3% of the country’s GDP. Thanks to this, Pellegrini says, Slovakia has become one of the main ammunition producers within NATO.
He said that the country is commercially supplying Ukraine with ammunition in the “millions” and “this number will continue to grow in the future.” He also called Ukraine the country with the best knowledge of modern warfare. In his opinion, Kyiv can offer its developments and experience to neighboring countries, including Slovakia.
Pellegrini also said that NATO is and will remain united, despite the tensions between member countries and the United States.
“Of course, there is a need to strengthen the European pillar within NATO, not as a separate entity, but to strengthen responsibility for defense and strengthen our capabilities to defend within NATO. Which, of course, is also related to the need to increase defense spending,” he said.
