Russia lost the Black Sea, where it had sailed freely since 1783.
The Russian Black Sea Fleet lost its “functional activity” as a result of the war against Ukraine, which was unsuccessful for the Kremlin. This was stated by British Defense Minister Grant Shapps .
“The ongoing illegal occupation of Ukraine by Putin causes enormous damage to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which is now functionally inactive,” he wrote on the social network X.
Shapps noted that the Russian fleet had sailed in the Black Sea since 1783, but was now forced to hide in ports.
“And even there Putin’s ships are sinking!” – the British minister emphasized.
Latest losses of the Russian fleet
As UNIAN wrote, last night the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on Russian military installations in occupied Sevastopol. Among other things, two large landing ships were hit – Yamal and Azov.
The loss of the ships was confirmed by one of the Russian occupiers, known as the Z-blogger “Thirteenth”. According to him, “the Black Sea Fleet no longer exists.”
According to military analysts , the Russians now have only 7 large landing ships left in the Black Sea.

From today the Black Sea is divided by the Naval States of Turkye and Ukraine, althought the latter has no Navy.
