Over the past three years, Russians have been drinking more and more alcohol. This is confirmed by statistics. Russian drunkenness causes many problems in the country. Crimes are committed while drunk, accidents occur on the roads, people die. It has gotten to the point that some regions have even begun to introduce “dry law”.

Alcohol only for two hours a day
The Governor of the Vologda Region of the Russian Federation, Georgy Filimonov, has decided to introduce restrictions on the sale of alcohol in his territory. From March 1, 2025, alcohol will be sold only for two hours, on weekends and holidays – as usual.
At the same time, Filimonov calculated that over the past year the region’s population has decreased by 7.5 thousand people, and in the national sobriety rating, Vologda Oblast is in a shameful 71st place. But over four years, the number of alcohol supermarkets has increased fourfold. Now, Filimonov hopes that chain liquor stores such as Bristol and Krasnoe i Beloe will leave his territory.

By the way, in the Russian Federation alcohol is not sold on holidays such as Children’s Day (June 1), Youth Day (June 27), Knowledge Day (September 1) and on school graduation days.
Some regions have gone further. In Tuva, alcohol is not sold during the New Year holidays from December 31 to January 8. In Volgograd, alcohol is not sold during the holidays, and in Yaroslavl, alcohol cannot be bought in the city center.
True, rumors about a ban on alcohol sales throughout the country have even worried the Kremlin. The Russian dictator’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that such a discussion is not even taking place. And in the regions they can do whatever they think is necessary.

8 liters per person
Statistics also show that Russians have started drinking more in recent years. Thus, in 2017, there were 7 liters of pure alcohol per capita in the Russian Federation , and in 2023, there were already 8 liters . Moreover, the largest number, up to 60%, consume vodka, cognac, and liquor products. And the leaders in this rating are Karelia, Sakhalin, the Jewish Autonomous Region, and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug – here, there are 21 liters of alcohol per capita per year.
These figures are cited by analysts of the project “If to be precise”, they are based on data from the Central Research Institute of Organization and Informatization of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Rosstat and Rosalkogolregulirovanie. The authors note that the amount of alcohol consumed can be much greater, because a lot of unaccounted alcohol is sold in the country.
In 2022, the largest increase in alcohol consumption occurred in Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan. Despite religious prohibitions, in Chechnya, per person over 15 years old, there was 0.4 liters of alcohol, in Ingushetia – 0.3 liters, and in Dagestan – 1.7 liters.

They drink and commit crimes
The surge in alcohol consumption in the Russian Federation is associated with the beginning of the so-called SVO. At first, Russians were worried, afraid for their future and were frightened by uncertainty. Until the summer of 2022, the population of the Russian Federation calmed down, but became excited in the fall, when mobilization was announced. The anxiety of being sent to the front was drowned in alcohol. As a result, the sale of strong alcoholic beverages increased by 7.5%.
In 2023, the trend continued, with the anxiety of being in the trenches being supplemented by fears for their savings and economic difficulties. Prices are rising much faster than wages, and there are problems with currency. Due to sanctions, many familiar goods have become unavailable, and it has become much more difficult to go on vacation. The economic well-being of many Russians has melted away.
According to Rosstat, the number of Russians diagnosed with alcohol addiction increased to 54.2 thousand people in 2022. In 2021, there were 53.3 thousand.

In addition, the number of crimes in the Russian Federation has also increased . In 2023, Russians committed 589 thousand crimes, a record since 2011. Although the fact that thousands of prisoners were released after being sent to war also played a role in the statistics, and after returning they returned to their old ways.
But still, most of the violence is committed by Russians who did not fight. The reasons may be the marginalization of society, growing pessimism, and the worsening economic situation in the country.

The fact that people in Russia will drink even more is also indicated by the fact that already in 2024, enterprises increased alcohol production by 10%. Vodka production increased by 6%, cognac by 7.3%, wine by 27.8%, sparkling wine by 36.5%, liqueurs by 70%, and low-alcohol drinks by 38.4%.
However, in the Russian Federation, only by rough estimates,
10-15 million residents drink so-called bootleg alcohol. And in villages, 15% of residents drink moonshine, in cities, 10%. This is data from the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

A more worthy people would get rid of the rats who are responsible for their misery. In mafia land, they just drink even more than they ever had before.
Ukraine are helping the orcs by blowing up their distilleries. I believe Medvedev has had a total meltdown over these drone attacks.
He’s in panic mode!
Moskovia should remove their government subsidies on alcohol if they’re serious, but they’re not, because that would cause Red Square Maidan….;)
Drink up! 🙂
That’s one command a ruskie never needs.
