Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the “liberation” of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic.

In particular, the minister informed about the establishment of full control over the city of Lisichansk and the nearby settlements of Belogorovka, Novodruzhesk, Maloryazantsevo and Belaya Gora, the military department reports.

“The total area of ​​the territories liberated over the past 24 hours amounted to 182 square kilometers,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a press release.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have not yet commented on this information.
