DALIA GRYBAUSKAITE: SHAME ON EUROPE
Shame on Europe.
Shame on NATO.
Do you think you can just sit back in your cozy countries?
Do you think you can continue drinking wine, eating cheese, sausages, and jamón, and watching our domestic war on YouTube?
Do you think Putin has no plans to take revenge for the fact that “Russia has fallen into ruin”?
Read the words of a great politician:
“It’s starting to look like this.
Sanctions will not stop Putin, whatever they may be. They are necessary, but without any exceptions, such as those we see in SWIFT disconnections or in the energy sector and the banks that serve it…
Only a war that has already begun can stop a new war. There is no need to pretend and try to appease our conscience by supplying Ukraine with nothing but weapons, and even then too late.
The people of Ukraine are fighting for us, and the children of Ukraine are protecting us from Putin’s madness.
Repeating the mantra that NATO cannot help Ukraine already sounds pompous and shows the cowardice of the West.
Putin sees this too.
Although he is a quick learner.
The West still does not understand that a European war is going on in Ukraine. Either you participate in it and fight the aggressor, or you become an accomplice to war crimes by simply standing by and watching Ukraine and its people being destroyed.
Yes, an accomplice.
If we do not stop Putin in Ukraine, we will still have to wage war, but in our own countries.
Ukraine is asking for real help, and we are watching residential neighborhoods being destroyed on our TV screens and saying all the time that we “strongly support Ukraine.”
I am ashamed to hear NATO leaders and officials mutter that they “cannot get involved in the conflict.”
But we did it in Syria, Libya, Africa, Yugoslavia, and Afghanistan, didn’t we?
Today, Ukraine is fighting for the survival of its nation and for peace in Europe.
Are we going to continue watching as an independent state is destroyed?
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to its heroes, and for now only its heroes, because there are no others on the horizon.

All 100 percent right.
She said this?
I can’t see it on the wires.
Presume she did.
Then.
1) Again. My hobby horse. The North and East are leading Europe. The Old West, despite Merz comments yesterday, either
a) think that after the war, the world will slide again to the slumber of liberal democracy. Nothing has changed fundamentally.
Or the more likely and deeply shameful.
b) The Old West fears the fallout of a defeated Russia and its possible state collapse than it does a defeated Ukraine.
It does enough to keep Kyiv in the fight and without enough to win.
Ukraine’s death and suffering is the price Old Europe is willing to pay if it keeps the status quo and the war from their door.
One day Old Europe’s leaders will have to go to Kyiv on bended knee to ask absolution for their sins of omission.
They should not receive it.
The Baltic States warned of Russian aggression before 2022. And were condescended to and ignored. Meanwhile Germany bought over half it’s gas from Moscow.
Here are today’s warnings. From the same part of Europe. They’re again ignored.
This time we know why: Old Europe’s refusal to DO THE RIGHT THING. They don’t stand with Ukraine. They cower behind. When they should fight alongside.

Europe MUST end all trade with ruZZia as of YESTERDAY, NOT only some IN 2027, there is no excuse.
Putin understands only force, words are useless.
Europe can and MUST enforce a fully DEFENSIVE no-fly zone above Ukraine & its perimeter, because the U.S. won’t do it. TINY Israel has recently shown us how.
NOW is the best time for this, because Putin is badly overextended. Tomorrow it’ll be to late.
The only alternative to a defensive NFZ would be a full scale war, which isn’t necessary yet (& it could be hard for Europe, but it would be even harder later).
There are only these possibilities, anything else would’ve been suicidal (with a delay) for Europe.
Recent proposals are a 1 mm (~ 1/25”) movement in the right direction. They are many light years too short from the minimum acceptable. Ukraine is fighting ALSO for Europe with NOTORIOUS INSUFFICIENCIES. Current trickling of ONLY scraps of aid to Ukraine mightn’t save Europe.
=> WW III in a few years according to Putin’s timetable, if anything even remotely close is accepted.
Garry Kasparov was 100 % right during the International Security Forum in Halifax, November 21-23, 2025. Who could outsmart him in strategy ?!
With a 100% DEFENSIVE no fly-zone (NFZ) enforced by our stealth fighters the war would likely end:
- immediately;
- without a single shot being fired;
- Putin would BE FORCED to capitulate on Ukrainian terms;
- IT WOULD LIKELY COST US ONLY JET FUEL !
The NFZ requires neither Putin’s opinion nor approval, it WOULD COMMAND his compliance.
This situation is binary.
There are only two possible outcomes, even though multiple paths may lead to one of them:
- Putin must be defeated in Ukraine. (With more of our help. A no-fly zone for a start, but more may be needed.)
- A (forced) negotiation or a fall of Ukraine = strengthened Putin would start WW III later that we might have to fight without Ukrainian help.
If one thinks that lGN0RANCΣ & CALL0USNΣSS justifies risking #2, instead of a victory per #1, I question her/his sanity. This includes our ‘negotiation obsessors’.
Putin is unlikely to use nukes, because we are much better protected from him than he is from us. If he’s stupid enough to try, #1 is much better than #2 is.

- Europe (& the World) is drifting towards WW III that Putin will trigger according to his timetable, if the West lets him. The West is letting him & nothing indicates that this is about to stop or when it might stop.
- The current & planned European rearmament (if, when & where it happens) is & will be insufficient to prevent WW III; if Europe/NATO let Putin win in Ukraine – EUROPE will be next.
- Europe continues with a lot of babbling, too little action while still making more money on supporting ruZZian war than spending on helping Ukraine that is fighting also in European defense.
- All this happens while the Ukrainians are forced to fight with insufficient weapons, with M0R0NlC & C0WARDL¥ Western weapon use restrictions & are being bled dry, while the Westerners live comfortably & many become tired of hearing unpleasant news.
Here is a COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGIC SUMMARY from the Institute for the Study of War:
« NATO can still contest Russian initiative in Europe at a relatively low cost and risk. »
« The idea that some amount of non-military pressure can compel Putin to end the war will continue to be tempting and will continue to fail. »

So very true. Baby killer putin and his ragtag army has to be defeated for the world to stop this madman.

⚡️The Armed Forces of Ukraine drove Russian forces out of Zaliznychnoye, Svyatopetrivka, Zelenoye, Varvarivka, Pryluky, Ternovate, and Kosovtsevo in the Zaporizhzhia region. 🇺🇦

Great result Oleksii. Thank you for letting us know.

A good start. Your counter offensive to drive Russians back has begun.

👍Ukraine will win this war, Putin has already suffered a strategic defeat. This was stated by Finnish President Alexander Stubb during his speech at the Munich Security Conference.
❗According to him, Putin wanted to make Ukraine Russian, but it has become even more European. He wanted to stop NATO expansion, but ended up with Finland and Sweden joining. He sought to keep defense spending low, but now it is rising to five percent.
👉Russia is also losing on the battlefield, Stubb noted. According to him, its territorial gains in Ukraine are insignificant.

And finally, about Oleksii’s company; Isatex Invest Group. It’s extraordinary :-

We were occupied by Russians invaders on the South of Ukraine in the first days of the Big War. We lost all our businesses, assets, equipment, vehicles, cash flow, our business processes. We lost our lands and buildings.
But:
We relocated our team to the Western Ukraine. Now our team is 140 people. Before the the War started it was 620 employees…
We helped to relocate their families. We settled them. We created new jobs for them. We started new projects from the very beginning. Almost without any funds. We are growing again. During the war.
We are creating new projects.
We are looking for partners. And investments.
Also we will be very thankful for helping us in professional preparation and marketing of investment products. Part of my team are fighting on the battlefield now (those who were great in creating and packaging invest projects) and unfortunately I am personally not great in such things.
Ukraine will win due to the support of all Democratic countries. Thank you all!

As usual, commenter Chris Wajnikonis posts material that is as good as the content of the article.
“The idea that some amount of non-military pressure can compel Putin to end the war will continue to be tempting and will continue to fail.”
Exactly.
With reference to Alistair Holloway’s comment, I think most of the content comes from Oleksii, but with contributory quotes from Dalia, eg :
“It’s starting to look like this.
Sanctions will not stop Putin, whatever they may be. They are necessary, but without any exceptions, such as those we see in SWIFT disconnections or in the energy sector and the banks that serve it…”
Millions of people know what must be done to end this war and achieve a just peace, only the powers to be aren’t willing to carry those measures out, mainly due to their spineless existence and downright idiocy.
