The reserves won’t last long.

After the cessation of transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine, the entire industrial sector in the unrecognized Transnistria came to a standstill.

The first deputy chairman of the government, Sergei Obolonik, spoke about this in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya . He said that the reserves will allow gas to be supplied to facilities that are not subject to disconnection until January 10 (in the north) and 20 (in the south):

“The crisis is so severe that there is no need to list which enterprises have stopped. All industrial enterprises are idle, with the exception of those that ensure food security for Transnistria. There is no energy resource for the industrial sector.”

Obolonik noted that almost 75 thousand household subscribers have now been disconnected from gas. 116 thousand will receive a limited amount for now.
