The President’s Office says: the section “Russia’s responsibility” in this document “is the best and strongest of all agreements.”
The future special tribunal for the crime of aggression of the Russian Federation will be located in The Hague. This is stated in the security agreement between Ukraine and the Netherlands signed on Friday, March 1, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva said .

According to him, the section “Russia’s responsibility” in this document “is the best and strongest of all agreements.”
“In addition, the document has clear provisions regarding the support of Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO; it establishes a 24-hour response mechanism for the repetition of military aggression against Ukraine; as well as issues of cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining, economic recovery and reconstruction, countering hybrid threats, in the field intelligence, etc.,” Zhovkva emphasized.
He also emphasized that for the first time the security agreement established support for the cultural heritage of Ukraine – in particular, within the framework of the implementation of the UNESCO Hague Convention on the Protection of Cultural Property in the event of an armed conflict of 1954.
Security agreements of Ukraine
On January 12, Ukraine and Great Britain signed a historic security agreement . The agreement formalizes military and non-military cooperation between Britain and Ukraine in support of Ukraine’s security. This support will be long-term.
The agreement stipulates that in the event of a Russian attack in the future, Britain will provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance quickly and urgently, including modern weapons to repel aggression on land, at sea and in the air.
On February 16, Ukraine signed security agreements with France and Germany . On February 23, Ukraine and Denmark signed “security guarantees” – this Scandinavian country became the first signatory country that is not a member of the G7.
On February 24, President Zelensky announced that two more countries had signed security guarantee agreements with Ukraine – Italy and Canada .
