The director of the Russian FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, stated that British intelligence was behind the alleged successes of the SBU in the special operation “Website”, which, according to him, also organized “a hoax about huge losses.”

Bortnikov claims that the SBU operation was carried out under the “direct supervision of British intelligence,” and the British allegedly provided “propaganda support,” spreading fake data about “huge losses” and Ukraine’s “authorship.”

The Security Service of Ukraine denied these allegations, calling them “an attempt by the enemy to justify its own failure to the domestic audience.” They emphasized that the SBU carried out Operation “Web” exclusively with its own forces.

“Thanks to the SBU employees and their work, the myth of the “omnipotence of the FSB ” crumbled before our eyes and burned down along with the Russian strategic aviation aircraft,” the SBU press service noted.

SBU special operation “Website”

On June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out special operation “Web” , launching a massive drone strike on Russian strategic aviation airfields.

The airfields “Olenya”, “Belaya”, “Diagilevo” and “Ivanovo” were under attack. 41 Russian aircraft were hit – among them A-50, Tu-95 and Tu-22 M3.

Subsequently, the SBU clarified that the estimated cost of the enemy’s strategic aviation , which was hit as a result of the SBU special operation “Website”, is 7 billion US dollars.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a report by the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, on Operation “Cobweb”.

On June 3, the General Staff clarified that as a result of a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine conducted on June 1, 2025, 41 Russian military aircraft were hit .
