Finally, some encouraging, promising news from the US:
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham threatened India and China with 500% tariffs on trade with Russia.

“I was playing golf with him yesterday. He says, ‘It’s time to move forward with your bill,'” Graham said in an interview with ABC News👇

According to Graham, the initiative on “sanctions from hell” against Russia will be considered after a short recess on July 7. He noted that 84 lawmakers out of 100 members of the United States Senate support it.

Graham also recalled how the new sanctions will work. “If you buy products from Russia and don’t help Ukraine, then your goods coming into the United States are subject to a 500% tariff,” he said. Among the countries that could be threatened by the measure, the Senator named India and China, which account for 70% of Russian oil exports.

The introduction of tariffs on New Delhi and Beijing, according to Graham, will force them “to stop supporting Putin’s war machine.”

At the same time, the Senator specified that if the bill is passed, the sanctions will not come into force immediately – the final decision on them will be made by the The White House. “But we will give President Trump a tool that he does not have,” Graham emphasized. He added that this is necessary in order to “force [Russian President Vladimir] Putin to sit down at the negotiating table.”

In mid-June, Trump said he was not imposing new sanctions on Russia because he was still waiting for a peace deal on Ukraine. He also reminded that sanctions are “not just a one-way street,” and that they are costing the US “a pretty penny.” Before that, according to Reuters, Trump asked Senate Republicans to wait before bringing a bill on “sanctions from hell” against Russia to a vote.
