“Sabotage” or revenge: “DPR” left without water due to water main break

An unknown person closed the valve on the Don-Donbass pipeline. The pipe burst, and the ” DPR ” was left completely without water.

As Baza writes , the breakthrough occurred on July 17 at about 13:00 in the Rostov region near the village of Edush, not far from the local brick factory. Someone closed the valve and broke off the steering wheel – 10-15 minutes after the closing, a hydraulic shock occurred, and the pipe burst in the most vulnerable place. The pumping station learned about the breakthrough when the systems first showed a sharp increase in pressure, and then a drop.

According to sources, there are two versions of the incident so far. The first is sabotage, the second is that the valve was closed by a knowledgeable person who probably worked on the pipeline or built it. Perhaps one of the subcontractors or workers decided to take revenge for non-payment of wages.

The pipe is already being repaired, but it is difficult to say how long the restoration will take. The Don-Donbass pipeline supplies water to the “DPR”. Donetsk supposedly has a water reserve, but it is not yet clear whether it will be enough until the pipeline is restored.
