In the morning, the enemy also attacked infrastructure facilities, the consequences are being clarified.
On the night of May 18, Russia attacked Odessa with a large number of attack drones – more than two dozen residential buildings were destroyed and damaged in the city, and a child was injured.
As UNIAN was informed by Inna Verba, a spokeswoman for the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, two civilians were injured in the mass attack – a 59-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy. All the victims were taken to the hospital.
According to preliminary data, Verba added, doctors assess the condition of the wounded as moderate. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code (“war crimes”).
According to the head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper, in the Kyiv and Primorsky districts of Odessa, UAVs hit three residential buildings. One of them, a one-story house in the Primorsky district, was destroyed. In other buildings, facades, roofs, and glazing were damaged. Local fires broke out…”, the report says.

Operational headquarters have been deployed on the ground. Specialists are recording the extent of the destruction and accepting applications from residents for assistance. Municipal services are dealing with the elimination of the consequences, the official added. As of this morning, it is known that 4 apartment buildings and 22 private houses have been damaged.

The press service of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region reported that a child was injured as a result of a fire and the destruction of a one-story residential building. At another address, the roof of a three-story residential building was damaged – the attic and an apartment on the 3rd floor caught fire.
“Also, another one-story residential building was damaged by the attack, where a fire broke out… – one person was injured. The elimination of the consequences was complicated by repeated air raids,” the department emphasized.
All fires have now been extinguished.
As reported by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past 24 hours (as of 06:00 Monday), the forces and means of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the groups shot down 24 attack UAVs of the “Shahed/Gerbera” type.
