Russian invaders hit a Chinese merchant ship in the Black Sea with a Shahed during a night attack , Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk reported .

“It’s interesting what motivated the Russians when they decided to use the “Shaheed” to target a Chinese merchant ship in our sea tonight.

There were no casualties, but this is something new… To purposefully strike a Chinese ship with a Chinese crew before it was due to travel to China. That’s what Moscow’s diplomacy is like,” Pletenchuk wrote.

Update 13:25.  Later, the USPA stated that during the morning attack on Odessa, the Russians damaged another ship – under the Panamanian flag. It was also heading along the Ukrainian sea corridor to one of the ports of Greater Odessa.

In particular, the ship was loading oil – it was damaged by a UAV hit. The crew eliminated the consequences of the attack on its own and continued its journey to the port of destination.
