The enemy does not consider these territories to be his own; he simply destroys everything in his path.

Russian occupation forces now control approximately 40% of the town of Chasiv Yar in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.
“At the moment, the enemy controls the entire part of the city that is located up to the Canal. This is approximately 40% of the entire city,” said Andrey Polukhin, a representative of the press service of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danilo, on the air of “We are Ukraine.”
According to him, in the event of a complete capture of the settlement, the Russians will be able to gain a tactical advantage at the heights located above such large cities as Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk and the logistical route between them. This will be “a very dangerous thing in terms of developing their success” in capturing the Donetsk region within its administrative borders.
“The city of Chasiv Yar is now destroyed. The enemy leaves behind only one trace, as during the occupation of Avdiivka and Bakhmut. These are just ruins. The enemy does not consider these territories to be his own, he simply destroys everything that is in his path,” the defender concluded.

I don’t understand the UAF strategy. I speak as someone who knows little of military tactical and strategic operations.
