This is probably the first recorded case of a Belarusian fighter jet attempting to destroy a military target in the sky.

For the first time, the Belarusian armed forces used aviation to shoot down a “shahed” .
According to the OSINT monitoring project “Belaruski Gayun”, on the night of August 29, during the attack of Russian occupiers in Ukraine, one of the “shahids” again flew into the territory of Belarus, namely, to the Yelsky district. This happened at approximately 03:30
“After the “shahed” entered Belarusian airspace, a Belarusian Air Force fighter jet chased the intruder for about 20 minutes, and at around 03:55 in the Yelsk district of the Gomel region, at least two explosions were heard and a bright flash was observed in the sky,” the Gayun report says.
Analysts noted that this is probably the first recorded case of a Belarusian Air Force fighter attempting to destroy a real military target in the sky – a Russian suicide drone of the Shahed type.
Russian “shahids” over Poland
On August 26, an “unidentified aerial object” flew into Polish territory during a massive Russian combined strike on Ukraine. The object allegedly flew 25 km into Polish territory and then disappeared from radar.
On August 28, the Polish military explained that they did not shoot down a Russian drone over their territory because they were afraid that it might be a civilian object

It must have been a very fast drone, or a very slow plane. I have a feeling this was target practice for the loony’s air force. There is no way that it was a drone on its way to Ukraine.
